Dona
Mullen - Director
Dona
is a veteran Chicago actor who has been involved with NRRCT since 1998,
when she
she played lead in the SPRING production of The Pajama Game.
Dona is very active in Chicagoland theater, playing
roles such as Mae Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, Sister Robert Anne
and Mother Superior in Nunsense, Miss Hannigan in Annie,
Yente in Fiddler in the Roof, and Mazeppa in Gypsy. Dona also
directed the Fall 2000 NRRCT production of
Fiddler on the Roof. When not on
the stage, Dona is a full time instructor for the Radio
department of Columbia College Chicago and can be heard weekends
on 100.3 WNND, Hits of the 80's and 90's.
Christina
Kuckie-Roberts --
Assistant Director and Assistant
Choreographer
This
is Christina’s 8th year working with NRRCT.
She has participated on stage and off in many ways, from
chorus to lead, choreography to directing.
She is always excited to work with such a talented cast, crew
and production staff, and doubly excited to again work with best
friend J.G. (Sally).
Thanks Mom, Dad and Saundra for your help. Jeremy (I love you
and you owe me a trip to Maui), and “Break a Leg” Jules!
Brett
Radek- Charlie Brown
Sixteen-year-old
Brett is excited to be playing the role of Charlie Brown. Brett has
been in numerous shows in grade school and was recently in Oklahoma
with the NRRCT. On of his favorite roles in the past was the
Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz. Brett attends the Chicago Academy
for the Arts Preparatory High School studying Media Arts. He plans
to further his career in writing, acting, and singing in college and
then on to New York. Brett would like to thank the theater, his
family, and friends for always believing in him and for an escape
from the hectic world we live in.
Christopher
“Chachie” Garza-Snoopy
Chris
has been with NRRCT since 1999. He is a freshman at Triton College
and is excited to be in the cast of “You’re A Good Man Charlie
Brown”. Chris has performed in numerous shows and a few of his
favorites are Little Shop of Horrors, Hello Dolly, And How to
Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Chris would like to thank
his Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, CS, RH, BH, EM, BD, BR, etc…. most
of all he would like to thank his number one fan, Melissa.
Cheryl
Silver-Lucy Van Pelt
Cheryl
is thrilled to be playing Lucy in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown,
her 5th NRRCT production. Most recently Cheryl was in Guys and Dolls
and Smokey Joe’s Café in Oak Park. She also played the role of
Rosie in Bye Bye Birdie and Chiffon in Little Shop of Horrors in
NRRCT’s 2001-2002 season. While many of Cheryl’s nights are
devoted to theater, her days are spent chasing after her 2
1/2-year-old son Noah, consulting for Purple Monkey Studios, and
developing Silver Screen Productions, her home video editing
business. Cheryl owes a heartfelt thanks to her husband, Aaron, for
his emotional and vocal support.
Bobby
Dietz-Linus
Van Pelt
You’re
a Good Man Charlie Brown is Bobby’s second show with NRRCT. He
most recently was in Oklahoma and Peter Pan at Morton College. Bobby
is very happy to be working with a small cast and a close-knit group
of people. Many thanks to Dona, Kuckie, Jules, his Mother, the
Kiddie Corner, and last but not least…. his blanket.
Tom
Manfredini-Schroeder
Tom
has been an active member of NRRCT for many years and is currently
on the NRRCT board of directors. He has appeared in many NRRCT
productions including Guys and Dolls, Do Black Patent Leather Shoes
Reflect Up, How To Succeed in Business, and Hello Dolly. Tom had
also directed Nunsense and Little Shop of Horrors at
NRRCT. Tom lives in North Riverside and is Controller for EESCO, a
nationwide electrical wholesaler. Tom says Happiness is…being back
on stage, working with this talented cast and crew, and seeing
people attend Community Theater.
Julie
Groenwald-Sally Brown/Choreographer
Julie
is no stranger to the NRRCT stage where she was most recently seen
as Kim in Bye Bye Birdie. Julie has also been singing for Royal
Caribbean Cruise Line for the past three years. Julie is glad to be
working with such a great cast, crew and staff, especially her best
friend Christina. Love and thanks to her family and friends
especially Mom, Dad and Pete.
