John
and Kathy founded NRRCT in 1989 when they petitioned the North Riverside
Recreation Deptartment to start a new Community
Theater. The petition was approved in 1990, and John and Kathy
served as the the
original two board members.
Hard
work and a lot of help allowed John to produce NRRCT's first
play, "Damn Yankees" in 1991. Since then,
Kathy (Backstage) and John (Directing and Onstage) have
worked tirelessly to keep the Theater Group growing and
prospering.
Kathy
was a teacher who enjoyed home tutoring while John practiced
dentistry in North Riverside for 34 years until he retired
in 2001.
They
have three grown and married children( 2 girls and a boy)
and 4 grandsons with a new grandchild on the way!
John
and Kathy also own Our Christmas Tree Farm in Ottawa IL.,
where families can choose and cut fresh Christmas Trees.
